SMS Notifications & Consent

Solwyn (“we”, “us”, “Solwyn”) operates an AI agent cost-control platform. This page describes our SMS notification program, the messages we send, and how Solwyn account owners consent to receive them.

What messages do we send?

Solwyn SMS notifications are strictly transactional account alerts. We send messages only to Solwyn account owners who have explicitly enrolled in SMS alerts for their account.

Message types include:

  • Budget threshold alerts — when your configured AI provider spend reaches a warning threshold you set (for example, 80% of your monthly budget).
  • Budget exceeded alerts — when your AI provider spend has exceeded the budget you configured.
  • Provider outage alerts — when an AI provider you depend on (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google) experiences a service disruption affecting your production traffic.
  • Anomaly alerts — when we detect unusual spending patterns on your account.

Example messages:

Solwyn: myproject budget at 80% ($40.00/$50.00). Reply STOP to opt out.
Solwyn: myproject BUDGET EXCEEDED $52.00/$50.00. Alert only.
Solwyn: myproject provider openai OUTAGE detected.

We do not send marketing, promotional, or third-party messages over SMS. Solwyn SMS is used exclusively for operational account alerts.

How do you consent?

To receive Solwyn SMS alerts, you must complete three explicit steps:

  1. Create a Solwyn account at solwyn.ai and sign in to the dashboard.
  2. Verify your phone number. We send a one-time passcode (OTP) to your phone via our verification provider. You must enter the code in the dashboard to confirm the number belongs to you.
  3. Enable SMS alerts in your project notification settings. This is an explicit opt-in toggle that is not pre-selected. You choose which alert types to receive.

All three steps are required. Verifying your phone number does not automatically enroll you in SMS alerts — the toggle in notification settings is a separate, deliberate action.

When you enable SMS alerts for the first time on an account, you will receive a one-time confirmation message to verify the channel is working.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies based on your own usage, budget configuration, and the alert types you enable. Most accounts will receive fewer than 10 messages per month. Accounts experiencing active budget breaches or provider outages may receive more.

How to opt out

You can stop receiving Solwyn SMS alerts in any of the following ways:

  • Reply STOP to any Solwyn SMS. You will be immediately and permanently unsubscribed from all Solwyn SMS on that number.
  • Disable the SMS toggle in your project notification settings in the Solwyn dashboard.
  • Remove your phone number from your Solwyn account profile.
  • Contact support at support@solwyn.ai and request removal.

Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

Phone numbers provided for SMS alerts are used only to deliver the alerts described on this page. We do not share them with third parties except our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) to the extent necessary to send the messages.
